Analytical unit
Equipped for Biochemistry and Haematology analysis as well as with a flow citometry unit, a powerful tool supporting animal research and immunological studies like the characterization of leucocyte populations or measurements of cytokines.
Bioanalytical unit
Vivotecnia performs and develops bionalytical determinations of target products together with experienced and validated partners working under GLPs.
Microbiology unit
A separated unit equipped with automatic media producers, specially designed ovens and application tools allows us to offer a wide array of microbiological studies. A semi-automated Ames Test procedure has been developed increasing throughput and reliability. This allows Vivotecnia to produce the highest quality results at record times and at extremely competitive prices.
Histopathology unit
Vivotecnia processes its own tissue samples in a fully equipped laboratory of histopathology speeding up toxicological studies.
Cell Culture Laboratory
Toxicological and pharmacological in vitro studies, as well as basic research and drug discovery projects are routinely performed in the cell culture laboratory (includes a type II biological safety area).
Molecular Biology unit
Contains the necessary equipment for recombinant DNA technologies: plasmid construction, mutants, fusion proteins, transfections, PCR analysis, etc.
Immunology unit
A number of laboratory techniques like ELISA, ELISPOT, Western Blot, cytoquine detection can be applied for the development of pharmaceutical products.
Radioisotope unit
Provides capacity to work with different radioactive isotopes. One of the housing rooms of the animal facilities is included this unit in order to perform mass balance studies.
