Opening of the New Joint Research Center of Pharmamar and Vivotecnia in Tres Cantos

The president of the Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, inaugurated the new joint facilities of Vivotecnia and Pharmamar in Tres Cantos. This new center is the result of the transfer of Pharmamar's preclinical research from Boston to Madrid. See video of opening speech

The president of the Community of Madrid, Mrs. Esperanza Aguirre, inaugurated the new joint facilities of Vivotecnia and Pharmamar in Tres Cantos.

Vivotecnia is a Company that provides Contract Research Services. Pharmamar is a pioneer in Research and Development of new drugs based on marine compounds for the treatment of cancer. Viotecnia and Pharmamar form a mixed group of top-level research in the Madrid region and internationally, that develops and markets worldwide biotechnology and pharmaceutical products.

Ms. Esperanza Aguirre has been accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Community of Madrid, D. Antonio Beteta, D. Jose Maria Fernandez Sousa-Faro, Zeltia Group Chairman and Mr Andrew Konig, CEO of Vivotecnia. In her speech, Ms. Esperanza Aguirre wanted to emphasize the quality and competitiveness of the research developed in the region in the field of biomedicine.
