Inhalation Toxicology
Vivotecnia offers a wide range of possibilities for the performance of inhalation studies. We can work with different types of formulations and experimental models:
- Whole body. Experimental model in which the whole body of rats or mice is exposed to the aerosol.
- Nose only. Only upper airways are exposed to the aerosol. Flow Past system avoids interference of exhaled air with exposure in other areas of the chamber.
Our inhalation chamber design provides the following advantages:
- Transparent glassware allows direct observation of aerosol deposits troughout the circuit and a better thermal conduction
- In situ plethysmography can be performed allowing the collection of more relevant data.
- In situ urianalysis can also be performed
- Particle size distribution is characterize by impact trap at the exposure site.
